Wire Sculpture Pendants
Lady Rose – This is a chalcedony rose with crystal druzy. It is 14k gold fill wire sculpted to look like the bust of a lady wearing a necklace, measuring 69x39x10mm. I made this piece at a wine and art festival while I was a demonstrating artist in Cambria, California. It looks just as good from the front as the back!
Larimar – 33 grams of unpolished larimar set in 0.2oz of sterling silver wire. If your imagination is up to it, you may see a victorian woman stooping over to smell a rose.
Cobalt Blue Crystals set in a custom Sterling Silver wire setting. The stone is 51mm long and 27mm wide.
Picture Jasper set in bronzed copper wire. The stone is 70mm tall including the bale and 45mm at the widest point.
This beautiful piece of Peruvian Green Opal has been set by hand in a 14kgf wire setting. It measures 32mm tall by 27m wide.
Rhodochrosite set in sterling silver. It measures 56mm long, including the bale, by 25mm wide. The bale is called an “enhancer” as it will slip over a rope of pearls.
Spectralite set in 14kgf wire. This stone only comes from Finland. It is in the same mineral family as Labrodite. It is difficult to see in this picture, but the chatoyancy is mainly gold with some emerald green. It measures 60mm long, including the bale, by 23mm wide.
Labradorite pendant set in sterling silver wire. You can see some of the green chatoyancy in this image, but there is also some blue and a little lavender. Including the Enhancer Bale, this piece measures 60mm tall and 22mm wide.
Rutilated Quartz stone set in sterling silver wire with an Enhancer Bale. It measures 67mm tall and 35mm wide.
This stone is called Brilliant Wood. It is petrified wood with naturally adhered Topaz crystal. This stone is presented in its natural state, without polishing and is set in copper wire. Measures 72mm tall by 19mm wide.
Owyhee Jasper Pendant – This is a rare stone. It is only found in Northern Oregon and the only mine where it was found has been closed by the Bureau of Land Management for safety reasons. It is set in 14kgf wire and measures 41mm tall by 21mm wide.
This is a piece of purple jade handset in 14kgf wire. This is a pendant-enhancer. It will fit over a flat or a snake chain. It measures 49mm tall by 25mm wide.
Blue Tiger Eye framed in sterling silver. This piece has a little bit of the gold Tiger Eye on the back side, near the top. 65x26x22mm including the bale. This is a tumbled stone.
Petrified wood – 75x43mm including the bale, 28mm at the narrow bottom, and 20mm thick. This is a tumbled stone, but it is very light weight due to the nature of petrified wood.
Pietersite from Namibia, Africa, framed in 14KGF. 73x20mm at the widest point, including the bale. This piece has a chatoyancy similar to Tiger Eye. This stone has blues, greens and golds.
Brown agate with white and a pocket of crystals framed in 14KGF rectangular cabochon. 87x19mm including the bale. Look at the large photo, and see if you can find the white seagull!
Sardonyx framed in 14KGF. 57X37mm including bale.
Big Sur Jade – The setting is Sterling Silver wire. It measures 63mm tall including the bale, by 32mm wide.
Blue Lace Agate – At first the shape of the stone reminded me of a Dragon’s Tooth, but after I set it, the silver wire makes me think of a crocodile’s face! It measures 78mm tall by 35mm wide.
Labradorite set in sterling silver. This stone has a lavender chatoyancy with little silver speckles that remind me of stars. It is 52mm tall by 30mm wide.
Turquoise Pendant set in sterling silver. It is 65mm tall by 27mm wide.
